We are in South Overland Park near 154th and Quivira. It's an easy drive from 69 Highway and 435. We serve Overland Park, Lenexa, Olathe, Shawnee, Leawood, and Kansas City.
The best time for newborn photography is between 5 and 14 days after birth.
During this short window babies sleep deeply and naturally curl into the sweet poses commonly seen in newborn portraits.
It’s recommended that parents book their newborn session during pregnancy to ensure availability.
Newborn sessions are scheduled for two hours. This allows time for feeding, soothing, and safely posing your baby while keeping the environment calm and comfortable.

Newborn photography in Kansas City typically ranges from $300-$900, depending on the photographer, session length, and included images. At Happy Chick Photography we are in that range, with our highest package being under $800. This is a great time to get your official first family photo! We are also good at working with little siblings to pose the children together in their own photo (we have ways of posing to keep baby safe).
